We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Network Engineer to join one of the worlds leading resources for high-technology systems development ranging from the nuclear fuel cycle to remotely piloted aircraft, airborne sensors, and advanced electric, electronic, wireless and laser technologies.

Supporting both LAN and WAN, the Network Team designs, implements, and operates both wired and wireless networks and VPNs at an enterprise level.

Job Qualifications:Must be able to attain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

Typically requires a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field along with five or more years progressive experience in computer and/or network support with a Bachelors and three or more years experience with a Masters. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.

Must possess strong Cisco networking skills; including Switching and Routing (CCNP or equivalent), Network Design, Installation, Configuration and Network Operations

Strongly prefer experience with some or all of the following technologies:

    \\t
  • Wifi, especially Aruba\\t
  • Cisco Nexus equipment\\t
  • Juniper or Pulse VPN\\t
  • EIGRP, DMVPN, IPSEC, Cisco ASA\\t
  • Network Analysis (Wireshark, Omnipeek)\\t
  • VoIP and QoS\\t
  • Tools: Statseeker, Stealthwatch, Netbrain

    Must demonstrate a complete understanding of data network principles, theories and concepts and have leadership skills including organizing, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates. Must be able to contribute to the development of new processes, resolve a variety of complex technical matters, and be knowledgeable in one or more information technology area.

    Must be customer focused and possess:

    (1) the ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems;

    (2) excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings;

    (3) excellent interpersonal skills to guide employees;

    (4) the ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information;

    (5) the ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects;

    (6) the ability to represent the company as a knowledgeable resource on external projects

    (7) excellent computer skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

      \\t
    • Maintenance of Local Area Networks, Wide Area Network, WiFi networks and virtual private networks (VPNs); planning, evaluation and coordination of installation and reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data network.\\t
    • May contribute solutions to a wide range of difficult technical problems with hardware and software of the data communications network.\\t
    • Installs or administers systems or services to provide network security and/or help ensure optimum network availability.\\t
    • Maintains knowledge of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing including routers, switches, firewalls, bridges and gateways.\\t
    • Monitors and analyzes network usage and capacity for in-house systems.\\t
    • Participates in the evaluation of new communications technology to enhance the capabilities of the data network.\\t
    • Participates in the identification of solutions to ensure current and future data communications requirements are met.\\t
    • Participates in the preparation of network documentation, including operational instructions.\\t
    • May be the prime contact with supplier and vendors.\\t
    • May function in a leadership role to less experienced professional staff.\\t
    • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.\\t
    • Extensive experience with Cisco routers and switches required\\t
    • Experience with Aruba wireless networking preferred.\\t
    • Experience with Juniper VPN a plus.\\t
    • Ability to work in a team environment a must.\\t
    • Must be able to attain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearanc
