Project Manager-Genomics-La Jolla, CA

Seeking a project manager to join the Genomics business unit to help facilitate the integration of an acquired organization. 
Responsibilities include: 
-Tracking, coordinating and documenting the activities of various functional areas to ensure timelines are met
• Work with Marketing, Brand Manager, and Order Fulfillment integration leads to develop a transition strategy coordinating the implementation of our client's brand across product packaging, literature, and other collateral (including Web)
o Drive overall schedule and coordination across product, packaging and collateral changes
• Work with R&D integration track lead to develop a harmonized product development roadmap aligning SW/reagent/instrument development 
• Facilitate project meetings
• Communicate updates to the business team
-Ensuring project compliance to overall project plan including defined scope, schedule and cost goals
-Identify risks to project plans and work with owners to ensure mitigation plans are in place
-Facilitating constructive resolution of conflict
-Escalate issues to Business and Corporate integration leads as needed

Required skills:
-Requires flexibility, attention to detail and a strong teamwork approach 
-Ability to formulate the big picture while executing project details
-Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals across various functions (research, development, manufacturing, quality control, marketing) and geographies
-Ability to balance and prioritize responsibilities in accordance with business and team needs, excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
-Strong analytical skills (MS Project or similar project tracking tool)
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience managing complex projects
- B.S. or B.A. in Science, Engineering, or Project Management with a understanding of the biological sciences; PMP certification a plus
