In this position, you will be working as part of the modem systems team with focus on low power modem design and implementation. This team is responsible for the specification, design and integration of new low-power techniques and technologies in 3G, 4G, 5G WAN and IoT wireless communication chips.

Responsibilities may include:

* Evaluate new low-power techniques and algorithms. * Understand and create modem sub-system and chip level power models. * Understand and perform modem & chip-level power analysis. * Design low power system architectures and algorithms/techniques to optimize hardware, software, and firmware implementation for low power consumption. * Identify, analyze and triage system level obstacles/bugs to optimize power. * Guide multi-function groups through the development cycle in realizing the power targets set forth at the inception of the project. * Frequent interaction with RAT systems, HW, FW, SW engineering teams, as well as product marketing, and customer engineering teams may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree in Electrical, or Electronics & Communications, or Computer Engineering from reputed college with strong background in wireless communication systems or SoC system architectures.

Industry experience with advanced low power techniques is a big plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of wireless communication (2G/3G/4G/5G) integrated circuits and embedded software architectures, including digital logic design for low power, microprocessor and memory architecture, power management circuits (regulators, switches, reference clocks, etc.), radio circuit blocks, and embedded software architecture.
Education Requirements
Required: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering
