Volt has an opportunity for you to become part of a prestigious team of professionals. We are seeking an System Administratorto work onsite at our clients facility in San Diego, CA. This is a contingent position expected to last 3 years.

Candidate Responsibilities

The candidate requires Linux and Windows knowledge and will work in a secondary roll to backup and support critical enterprise business system in the Linux environment. Knowledge of tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Python, BASH, PowerShell, and other automation and scripting tools preferred. In addition, the candidate will need strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to understand complex software systems to configure and tune the environments for optimal execution. The candidate will work within the SCIS infrastructure teams and provide administrative support for Solar's Linux and Windows environments. This position will be an IT Analyst II and an agency position within the Global Information Systems Division, Global Technology Services Division.

Typical Day

Primarily at a desk, helping with tickets, server builds, troubleshooting, and project tasks/work. Develop processes to automate manual tasks to reduce waste and improve accuracy and efficiency. Will work in a secondary roll to backup and support critical enterprise business system in the Linux environment. This will include the Enterprise ERP Baan system

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent training required.

Technical Skills

Linux, required Windows, required Troubleshooting Skills, required Software System knowledge 2+ years of work experience required Knowledge of automation and scripting tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Python, PowerShell, etc. strongly desired

Soft Skills

Team work, work well with others, communication skills.
