Now hiring! Development Test Technician

Development Test performs validation testing for future generation gas turbine designs and technology enhancements. The Test Technician is a key member of the Development Test team, responsible for providing high quality test results to assist in engineering design improvements. This position performs installation, set-up, calibration and evaluation functions to support development test engineering projects.

This includes:

  • Preparing test articles, operating and maintaining existing test cells, instrumentation and mechanical equipment
  • Providing mechanical and electrical fabrication skills to support test cell upgrades and new test cell construction
  • Conducting engineering evaluation testing of the Turbomachinery products, subsystems and components
  • Connecting, configuring, and operating computerized data acquisition systems
  • Performing first article tests to measure characteristics of engine operations, control logic, and supporting components while working from company, customer and vendor drawings, specifications, operational procedures and oral instructions
  • Working as a team member in a group providing support to company product development and production test functions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical systems and
  • Experience with diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing a variety of instrumentation and control circuits.
  • Requires attention to detail and innovative fabrication abilities
  • Requires basic electrical knowledge and be willing to train to perform electrical fabrication, hookup and troubleshooting.
  • Basic computer skills are required

2nd shift: 2pm -10:30 pm- plus overtime as needed
