Volt is currently seeking CNC Machinists and Programmers for a large aerospace company in San Diego, CA. These positions are Direct Hire opportunities!


 
*Positions are on the 1st and 2nd shift (Flexibility between shifts is preferred)

Duties for CNC Machinist III role. (4+ Years)
  • Set-up, run, and troubleshoot difficult prototype and production jobs
  • Experience on Fanuc Controls and preferably on the following machines:
    • Fadal
    • Mori Seiki
    • Okuma
    • Mazak
  • Experience on at least 3&4 axis mills with preferably up to 5+ axis
  • Work from blueprints to ensure that parts are to spec
  • Capability to perform operations such as turning, facing, boring, chamfering, turning tapers, drilling, grooving, reaming, tapping, slotting and more!
  • Helpful to know some CAD/CAM software
  • Prefer experience with HMC and VMC along with Turn/Mill 

Duties for CNC Machinist IV Programmer role. (5+ Years)
  • Set-up, run, and troubleshoot difficult prototype and production jobs
  • Program parts using at least one of the following CAM programs:
    • Esprit
    • Mastercam
    • Open Mind hyperMILL
  • Experience programming CNC Lathes and 3,4,5 Axis Mills
  • Develop and manage tool libraries
  • Direct, guide, and instruct other machinists
  • Order and expedite materials
  • Work from blueprints to ensure that parts are to spec
  • Capability to perform operations such as turning, facing, boring, chamfering, turning tapers, drilling, grooving, reaming, tapping, slotting and more!
  • Helpful to know some CAD/CAM software
  • Advanced knowledge of G & M codes
